| Brash, bold and often belligerent until he gets what he wants, Newt was the kaiju biology specialist of the Pan-Pacific Defense Corps. Now? He's been dragged through two worlds, one an apocalyptic wasteland run by a megalomaniac corporation bent on torturing its residents, the second a dangerous cave run by parasitic "gods," and he's none too happy to be pulled into a third world without so much as a by-your-leave, even if this one appears to be significantly more idyllic. Though still very much the curious, exuberant, loud-mouthed, stubborn scientist that he's always been, Newt's learned a deep distrust of all things seemingly omnipotent through experience, and the losses he's suffered have taken a toll. Though he's still always questioning and wanting to learn, and is more than willing to throw himself (sometimes literally) at people and situations that he's unfamiliar with, there's now a glint of cynicism and a wariness that comes with being put in danger one (or significantly more) times too many. He no longer seeks to return home, but rather his only goal is to find and return to Hermann Gottlieb, and ensure that they'll never be separated again. |
